Day in the Wild – Hike, Forage, Swim, Sauna & Feast
A full-day immersion in Estonia’s ancient landscapes — hike across glacial ridges, enjoy a forest picnic, dip into clear lakes, relax in a wood-heated sauna, and end the day with a hearty local dinner.
Experience Overview
Step into a landscape sculpted by the last breath of the Ice Age — a mosaic of eskers, bogs, lakes, and pine forests. This full-day guided hike begins by the scenic Järvi lakes and follows soft moss trails through whispering forests, along the edges of quiet marshes and crystal-clear lakes.
Along the way, our guide will share the stories of the land, its wildlife and geology. We pause for a nourishing forest picnic made from local ingredients and seasonal wild food. If conditions allow, we’ll also forage for wild berries or mushrooms.
For those craving a refreshing thrill, a swim in one of the forest lakes awaits.
To round off the day, enjoy a traditional Estonian sauna — heated with wood and cooled off in a wild river. The experience ends with a delicious dinner at a local countryside restaurant, serving fresh, honest food straight from the region.
